Ingredients:

  • Ground Beef
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • Butter
  • Garlic Salt
  • Pepper
  • Swiss Cheese
  • Hamburger Buns

How to Make Mushroom Swiss Burger on Blackstone Griddle:

  • Prepare the Griddle – Preheat the Blackstone Grill over medium high heat (approximately 400 degrees F).
  • Melt Butter on Griddle – Add the butter to the grill and spread it out with a spatula.
  • Add Mushrooms – Add the sliced mushrooms and cook on the grill and season it with half the garlic salt. Toss to sauté the mushrooms in the butter and garlic salt.

  • Prepare beef patties – Divide the ground beef into 6 even balls (approximately ⅓ lb each). Mix the patties with worcestershire sauce if you prefer.
  • Add patties to griddle – Place the ground beef on the Blackstone grill next to the mushrooms.
  • Flatten balls – Press firmly on the ground beef balls into the Blackstone Grill. Do not smash it all the way down but just press slightly to form a burger patty.
  • Season Patties Season the beef with the remaining garlic salt and pepper. You can also use any type of burger seasoning or steak seasoning.
  • Cook Patties – Cook the patties for 3-5 minutes per side until the sides of the patties begin to change colors.
  • Flip and Continue Cooking – Flip the burgers (do not smash them down) and cook until burgers are cooked through (3-4 more minutes).

  • Top patties with mushrooms and cheese – Top each patties with the sauteed mushrooms and a slice of Swiss cheese. Allow the cheese to melt onto the patties (1-2 minutes).
  • Remove from grill – Remove the grilled burger and add them to one of the burger buns.
  • Serve and Enjoy – Then add your favorite burger toppings and enjoy!

  • Oil Variations – Use any oil with a high smoke point. Olive Oil, Vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil or avocado oil will all work great in this recipe.

  • Cooking Patties – Gently flatten burger balls but do not press them all the way down.

  • Steak Sauce – These burgers are delicious served as is, but are also great topped with steak sauce of A1 sauce as well.
  • Cheese – Swiss cheese is amazing on the burger. But you can use a variety of cheese. Try Colby Monterrey Jack Cheese for a change.

How to Store:

Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days. When storing the leftovers, separate the hamburger patties from the buns.

Can you Freeze Cooked Burgers?

Yes, you can freeze cooked burgers. We recommend wrapping them individually in plastic wrap and then with aluminum foil. Store in a freezer bag and they will last up to 4 months.

How do you Reheat a Swiss Mushroom Burger?

To reheat a Swiss Mushroom Burger we recommend reheating in the oven. Place the leftover burgers in a baking dish and cover with foil.

Then heat in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.
