Ingredients

Here's what you'll need for this easy pumpkin dip recipe:

Easy Pumpkin Cream Cheese Dip Recipe (2)
  • Pumpkin - Do not use pumpkin pie filling (it contains extra ingredients.) We used canned pumpkin, but fresh pumpkin that has been pureed will also work.
  • Cream cheese - Any type will work, including a plant-based brand to make a vegan version.
  • Confectioners' sugar, also known as powdered sugar - Use keto-friendly alternatives for a lower-carb version. Another option is to replace a portion of the total amount needed with an alternative sweetener.
  • Vanilla extract - This adds a touch of depth to the dip.
  • Cinnamon or pumpkin spice - I always have cinnamon on hand, so that's what I usually use.

Note: Use a deep bowl if you have one. It will minimize the chance for powdered sugar to splatter out as you mix.

  1. Add chunks of cream cheese and pumpkin puree to a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat at low speed until fairly smooth.
    • The cream cheese should be at room temperature before you start. If you're in a hurry, cut it into chunks and microwave for about 15 seconds.
  2. Slowly add powdered sugar to the bowl and continue mixing until incorporated.
  3. Add vanilla and cinnamon or pumpkin spice to the bowl and continue mixing on medium speed for about 1 minute or until smooth and creamy.
  4. Store in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy!

Candied Pecans

The indulgent version of this pumpkin cheesecake dip is topped with candied pecans. Here's what you need to do, and it's easier than you think!

Simply melt butter in a small sauce pot. Add brown sugar and maple syrup and stir to combine. Stir in pecans until coated. Spread pecans into a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cook them in a 350°F oven for 5-6 minutes until fragrant.

Chop pecans into smaller pieces and scatter on top!

I loved that this recipe uses less sugar than most I’ve found. I substituted half the sugar with Swerve anyways and it had no after taste at all. Had it with apple slices. Next time will try the pecans because they looking delicious.
