This is my easy, no bake Clinkers Slice which combines condensed milk with biscuit crumbs plus Clinkers for the base and then tops it all off with Caramilk chocolate.

Who remembers Clinkers? Today I am bringing you a super easy no-bake slice using these yummy lollies in my Clinkers Slice. Plus PLUS plus I have given this condensed milk slice a Caramilk topping! You can thank me later!

Like most great no-bake slices it uses a combination of condensed milk and biscuit crumbs for the base, and this time I have added Clinkers to the mix as well.Clinkers Slice with Caramilk - No Bake Recipe · Chef Not Required... (1)

As I was making this slice it also occurred to me that the colour combo of the candy centres of the Clinkers is very close to the so-called unicorn colour trend going around right now. Lots of pastel rainbow colours in an easy slice that the kids could help with!

What are Clinkers

They are chocolate-coated candy lollies with three different fruit flavoured (and coloured) centres in each bag. Strawberry (pink), pineapple (yellow), and lime (green). You never quite know which clinker flavour you are going to get until you bite into it!

What do Clinkers taste like

Each of the individual fruit flavours of strawberry, pineapple and lime also have a sherbet taste, think Fruit Tingles or Wizz Fizz without the fizz.

My top tips for making this recipe

  • If you don't have a food processor just put the biscuits into a sturdy plastic bag and give them a good bash with a rolling pin until they are fine crumbs.
  • It's still important to grease and line your tin even though we aren't baking this slice recipe, this is to help it come out of the tin when it's set. If you are still having difficulty getting it out of the tin, just sit the base of the tin in hot water for a few seconds and it should come right out.
  • As with any no-bake slice, one of the advantages is that you don't actually need a baking tin to make it in. If you don't have a baking pan or tin that's the right size, just use something else such as a plastic container like Tupperware etc. That being said, you could also go a bit bigger or smaller because there is no cooking time to worry about.
  • The vegetable oil is combined with the Caramilk chocolate so that it's easier to slice (and eat) without cracking. You could substitute coconut oil if you prefer.

Serving suggestions and ideas for add-ins

  • You could lean into the whole unicorn theme and substitute white chocolate for the Caramilk to give that more traditional (?) unicorn-type colour. Now that's a phrase I never thought I would use!
  • You could dress up the top with some more crushed up Clinkers if you like, or a dusting of desiccated coconut. Or some sprinkles in unicorn colours if that's your theme.
